Using the power of his nose your cat is able to find his way home over miles and miles just down to the scent marking he has left! Clever kitty.
You probably also know that they are very territorial creatures. Most cats find the presence of a strange cat in their territory extremely stressful and may become neurotic or aggressive in an attempt to scare the offending stranger away.
Now think of your cat in a small shed or run at a cattery. Knowing the above do you think your feline friend is going to be happy? Some more laid back cats will be, as long as food and cuddles are on tap they are free and easy. But a heck of a lot won’t be.
