How reliable are we? It’s a question we get asked often, so this is our answer…
Do you know how much kenneling costs for 5 dogs? WE DO. Which is why we rarely go on holiday, and if we do we give our clients as much notice as possible (usually 3 months as that’s how long it takes us to save up)!
We do of course need a break so if we have had an excessive amount of bookings we may take a weekend off. We are only human after all, but we give any regular clients as much notice as possible. This is one of the reasons we urge ad hoc bookings to contact us asap.
Do you know how much a taxi twice a day costs on Christmas eve, day until New Years? WE DO. Because when our clutch died after trying to get out of the awful snow we had a few years back, we carried on visiting a client’s home whilst they were out of the country. And WE paid. We didn’t make a penny, in fact, we lost money, but we stuck by our agreement! We can’t always agree to this as we have to make a profit but if you are out of the country, and something goes wrong we will come up with a solution and we will not let your pet down.
When a client out of our area needed emergency hospital treatment and couldn’t find a pet sitter for her 8 pets, we stepped in with an hours notice. It took a lot of time and petrol out of our day, but we did what we possibly could whilst she found a nearer pet sitter. It’s how we roll. We like our clients to become a second family.
So what happens if we can’t help? We are a small business, but what we do well is network! We know all the good dog walkers and pet sitters and are more than happy to help you find someone else if we can’t help.
