At Poppy and Pals Dog Walking and Sitting we have always been strong advocates of force free handling and fear free care. If an animal is allowed to make it’s own decisions without fear of reprimand it is safer, we are safer and as proud handlers it is more ethical for the animals in our care.
Anxiety in dogs
Anxiety in cars are in the top 5 of issues dog walkers struggle with. Barking, distressed digging, crate destruction and even aggression can all be symptoms of fear in dogs being transported. This certification will help us plan for your nervous dog.
With an FdSc qualified dog trainer on the team we pride ourselves on helping dogs that don’t necessarily fit the ‘ideal’ client for dog walkers with less knowledge such as those who need a little extra time or understanding, those with pain issues and dogs (and cats) who are lacking in communication skills.
